It's a BOY!!!

We just went to the Doctor this morning....and found out we're having a little boy! Bryan and I are super excited as now we will have one of each! (Momma's done after this one!" )
Abigail took the news well...but out of no where decided she wanted it to be a girl...funny little 3 year olds...they just have no clue that we can't exactly pick the gender or trade it in...but she's excited and has been talking "big sister" talk for weeks now!
Right now, I'm 18 weeks and the baby is right on target at 9 oz. He's a squirmy little fellow...although I haven't been feeling much movement - apparently the location of my placenta is like a large pillow or buffer right now...so maybe in weeks to come, I'll be feeling the topsy turvy moves going on inside. We haven't talked names yet...but will keep you posted. Now that we "know" that he's a boy...we can begin the planning and I'll be updating as we make decisions on all the details on my blog! March 31st seems like a long way off...but I know it will be here before I realize it!

1 week and counting...

I haven't written on here in ages...I think I forgot I had even started this blog...not too much time on my hands these days...but I find out 1 week from today the gender of our baby which is due at the end of March! I'm super excited! Bryan and I haven't really talked about names - just b/c we want to wait to find out first whether we need to pick girl or boy names, I just don't want to waste energy on one or the other, call me lazy!

Anyway, I think I will start blogging more once we find out the gender- and I want to keep track of names, nursery decor and all the fun details that come with baby territory.

I'm still not ready to have to wake up early- Abbey sleeps past 8:00 - sometimes 9:00 every day...so I have been lucky and spoiled...something tells me that I will be waking up before sunrise with this new baby...but I won't worry about that until the time comes.

I promise to keep this more updated for anyone that actually cares about reading it- and hopefully it will be more interesting than my last TV posts... until next week...

Long Time- No Post...

I have totally forgotten what a blog is? wait, what? I have one? Oh yeah...
Things have been crazy around here... this summer has been slamming at the office- when the economy goes south, enrollment goes through the roof...job securit-ay!

On top of all that- I am preggers and have not been feeling well- and I'm also addicted to way too much reality TV this summer...so I guess that answers why I have neglected my blog competely.

I am totally consumed by Big Brother right now! Things are getting very interesting in the houst- if you watched last night, you know Chima was evicted by the producers...or...maybe she asked to leave, either way- she sucks and who cares, she's gone! Drama over!

There are some new rumors flying about Jeff and Jordan having a secret alliance made late last night w/ Natalie-and also that if anyone wins POV and removes themselves...Russell may actually be the next target - so we will see...a lot will play out tomorrow night in the LIVE show...and I'm excited! These people are all crazy...I don't know where they find these people...but I'm rooting for Jeff and Jordan - time will tell what happens.

I will work harder to keep my blog updated and interesting and post more pictures...

We will not find out until Nov. if we're having a boy or girl...but once we do- the decorating will begin and name picking- which will be fun blog topics :)

Got to run...

Reality TV update

This will be quick...

DWTS- shocker that Steve O is gone, it was only a matter of time, I'm honestly getting bored with the show. BTW, Cheryl loves Gilles...too bad his wife is in the audience each week. And what in the WORLD was Chuck Wicks wearing? That shirt should be banned, it was worse than the gayest of gay ice skating outfits- it was men's lingerie, literally- I can't believe he wore it, he must LOVE Julianne!

AI- So...Scott is gone, finally! Tonight, I forsee Lil, Matt and Anoop in the bottom 3

I think Matt is gone! Danny is great as always- my top 3 picks have changed...they are now:

Danny, Allyson and Adam- but we'll see...

More to come tomorrow...

Thanks for reading

Reality TV - recap

I've been terribly behind on blogging my shows- not that anyone has missed me- but Here are some quick random thoughts on AI, DWTS etc...

1) Holly Madison and that random other chubby guy were kicked off last week- not a shocker
Holly looked terribly uncomfortable on the dance floor- for someone with such a hot bod, she sure doesn't know how to work it- guess that's what happens when you shack up with an 84 year old for 5 years...and that other guy was just ridiculous- I don't even know his name...ummm Steve Wozniak- who is he again, how is he a start? How is Holly a star? Oh yeah...as long as you can be "googled" you can be on the show! HA!

2) Last week- Megan Joy was eliminated off Idol, her number was up- it was just a matter of time, but dang, when is the blind kid going home, seriously- it pains me to watch him sing!

3) This week- DWTS was so boring, I ff on my TIVO to the end and b/c it was down to 2 people I could care less about- I didn't even watch the Dance Off- who cares right? I'm routing for Gilles, who BTW is so sexy and can really dance, go Cheryl! I'm routing for Melissa and I'm routing for Shaun- so anyone outside the top 3 (who I believe will be in the finale) can just go home, I'm bored already!

4) This week AI- guess we'll find out tonight who goes home- for the sake of entertainment, I hope the blind guy goes...whoopty doo that he got up from the piano, he cannot hold notes, I think he's only on the show for his disability and nothing against anyone who is visually impaired, but he can't sing and I wouldn't buy his record, I wouldn't even keep the radio on if his song came on...blah! (I'm just saying). My top 3 are now: Danny- my boy! (he'll probably win)...and then Adam (he's so entertaining) and then there's Allyson - that girl can sang! (not sing, but saaaang!) Lil needs to step it up a notch, not to be a "home town traitor" but she's too karaoke for me...and her style of music is not my style! But I'm still rooting for Danny! He seems like a genuinely nice guy, he's got a voice that is just so incredible and I look forward to watching his performances week after week- b/c I like him! I look forward to Adam's performances, just for shock factor to see "what is he going to do" this week.

Anyway- I have no idea who's going home tonight - time will tell...but those are my thoughts on these two shows! I am so excited LOST is on tonight! I would need a entirely separate blog just to talk about all that is going on with that show, but I'll save myself and everyone else the trouble and just read what's already "out there" on the web- I love Sawyer and Kate and they need to get back together...not a big Julie fan- but it's getting so good this season, finally - some answers!

Got to run...so much to watch and now to "read" - hopefully I'll have some more "entertainment" for you soon :)
Thanks for reading!

Twilight- can't believe how much I like it!

Ok....so for the past year, I kept hearing everyone tell me how good the Twilight series of books are...and I"m not a huge reader, I can't remember the last book I read, or even finished...I have a low attention span and I"m a TV addict, so if there aren't pictures or it's not a movie, I'm usually not one to jump on the band wagon... Ask me anything about US Weekly Magazine, People Magazine, or any TV shows and I can tell you just about anything- but it's pop culture and pictures (enough said).

Anyway, I put Twilight on our Netflix Que and actually got it the day it was released...but took about a week to sit down to watch it...so this past Saturday night, we watched it and I was surprised at how much I like it...and thought to myself, I bet the book is incredible...so I went to Borders Books on Monday and bought the book and finished the entire thing last night (Tuesday)- wow...really? over 500 pages in 2 days...that is SOOOOOO not me! I can't believe how much I am digging Edward Cullen- this book allowed me to go back to being a 17 year old girl, all over again, and reminded me of the "crush" feelings I once had in high school- amazing!
His character is so complex- and their "forbidden love" is so exciting, dangerous and honest that I can't get enough. I will admit, these books are an easy read, I was joking at work that of course I could read a 500 page book in 2 days when it's "Beverly Cleary" level writing (remember Romona Quimby books!?!?!) :) But seriously- these books are great! I'm one chapter into New Moon and can't wait to get home from work tonight to read more of it!

I'll blog more on my thoughts later...I've got to get to a meeting here at work...thanks for reading :)

Are you kidding me? Alexis!?!?!?!?!?

I CANNOT believe Alexis is out! Ok, so her performance to "save herself" was not great- in fact, it sucked, but she was extremely nervous and basically begging the judges to save her while holding back nerves and tears...but she deserves to be there much more than a few of the others...uhm "Scott" uhm...

I just cannot believe she is gone...it has to be b/c there are 2 girls from here in Memphis and not enough of us are voting- the votes are being split...which will only cause all the votes to now go to Lil Rounds...but what do I know? right? he he!

Now on to more important stuff- fashion!
Carrie Underwood looks amazing as usual- loved loved loved her hair- it was pinned up to look short and like an 80's poof bob...way cute and loved her head band w/ feather/flower motif to match her "red dress" with floral belt which resembles something from a Valentino collection.
She sang "I told you so" and man, has she got her stage presence down- I enjoy hearing her sing as well as watching her and she looks totally comfortable all the while. Randy Travis on the other hand, looks like he has paralysis in his face when he's holding notes, but he still has a great voice and I will not make fun of him.

Not sure about AI Anymore on who will be next to go- next week is Mo-Town, so wonder what Adam is going to pull out of his sleeve...guess we'll see...this should be an interesting one. But- I can hear Danny singing anything Motown and sounding fab! So - until next week...

Go Danny, Go Annop! Go AI!

Last night's AI was very entertaining...I thought the judges were a bit hard on some of the contestants "just because" they can.

It was a very interesting genre- Grand Ole Opry- of course I can't recall one contestant who actually sang country- they all put their own spin on the song, so they all sounded totally different than the original version- and in come cases a lot better.

My favorite outfits of the night go to:

Megan- and her makeup was gorgeous! I want that eye Shadow!

Lil- loved that hot pink dress- very classy- her makeup looked great as well!

The guys- not so much- Danny's outfit was awful, He did look like he was about to go skydiving and his shoes were butt ugly too! ....But his voice made up for it!

Danny (my personal fav) did a great version of "Jesus take the wheel"- Carrie)

I think he's going to win this entire thing- at least I hope so!

Love his voice- man it's awesome!

Anoop did so well- love his song choice (Always on my mind- Willie Nelson) and his vocals were flawless- he could sing me to sleep! His voice does NOT go w/ his face- but I like the combo b/c it's unexpected!

My Memphis girls did well- didn't love Lil singing "Independence Day"- Martina but she still sang the heck out of it. I liked Alexis' version of Joleen-Dolly and I disagree w/ the judges, I thought she did great! She looks great too! Go Alexis!

What the hell was up w/ Adam Lambert? I have a feeling that each week, I'm going to be asking that same question. That was the strangest performance, but the weird thing is- I can't say I didn't like it! He totally sounds like Justin Hawkins- lead singer of the Brit Band "The Darkness"

I was left somewhat "Dazed and Confused" after his performance and while he creeps me out- he has this sound like no one else, that keeps me wanting to see what he will do the next week... I am hoping they'll do 80's or Hair band/rock theme week so he can do something RAD! So, I'm not ready for him to leave just yet...but I sure hope he doesn't win- we'll see though.

One of the people that I haven't really paid attention to is Matt- really stood out last night, he was the last to perform and man, did he rock it! He's not necessarily the cutest- but his talent makes up for it- he may be a front runner....loved that he sang "So Small" -Carrie and it was A-MaZing...but I love that song anyway- I love Carrie, she's my favorite Idol winner to date! I have both her albums and every song is so good!

The competition is ON! These kids are really talented...I"m sorry to say- it's painfully uncomfortable to watch Michael- he sings well, but he makes these God Awful faces and maybe he is just "doing his thing" but I don't see him lasting long- in fact, he may be a goner tonight.

What was Paula talking about- telling him to get up from the Piano and be a showman- does she want him to just fall of the stage- um, hello, he's legally blind! Whatever, I think she just says whatever is on the tip of her tongue and it's fun to watch how annoyed Simon gets when she's speaking! It's like his brain is working overtime to jump in and one up her or call her out- guess that's part of the show- hm....like I said, I think it's all scripted! But I still love it!

Did anyone watch Oprah on Monday? I normally don't, but it was a special on documentaries on Windsor Castle in England, which I'm absolutely obsessed with...and also on the designer Valentino, but she had a segment w/ Ryan Seacrest and Behind the scenes at AI- the funniest thing to me is that everyone has a dressing room- except Simon- he has his own camper in the back lot- too funny! Ryan took the cameras back there and he is just chillin in his camper eating celery sticks...random!

Ryan also revealed that this year, he actually gets the name of the contestant who is eliminated 90 minutes before the live results show airs...and said all the contestants just stare at him trying to give it away in a glance, look, etc...but he has to treat them all the same so they "don't have a clue" Just more drama, I guess...we'll see who gets eliminated tonight, my vote is Michael, but I could be totally wrong.

Can't wait for Carrie and Brad Paisley to perform tonight, I always LOVE to see what Carrie is wearing! Her stylist is great!

American Idol- oops I was wrong on Jasmine & next week's theme revealed

Ok- I was wrong and I was right- Jorge was apparently worse than Anoop to the American public. But I didn't see Jasmine going home so fast...I thought Megan was a goner- guess I was wrong. Not that I didn't think Jasmine deserved to stay- and it's obvious to me that Megan and Anoop are not far behind Jorge and Jasmine in going home. Time will tell.

Notice who was on the front row last night? Lil, Adam, Danny, Alexis and Michael...hhm...4 of those are in my top 6 I think that Lil, Adam, Danny and Alexis will be the top 4- I hope I'm right, they are the most talented and most diverse group- but again, time will tell.

What's with Randy always listening to whatever Simon says and agreeing? What's with Simon listening to everyone else and dis-agreeing? It's pre-planned (their comments)...It's like they have their own little game of Devil's Advocate going on within the AI competition...I'm just saying!

I love that Danny continues to wear his glasses...and I love that he has a new pair to match each outfit! Go Glam Team! Funny how these people look TOTALLY different than they did on their try outs- look at how far Carrie Underwood has come w/ her own personal stylist?!?!?! Where can I get one of those!

Ok, now on to my negative comments- What the hell happened to Kelly Clarkson? I know I have no room to talk about gaining weight, but really? Did she just roll out of bed to come out and sing to 20 million people? Her hair was horrible- I'm not sure if she has thin hair and just forgot to brush it or if she has the same clip in extensions that Britney wore after shaving her head? The girl can sing- I'll give her that! But I mean, you would think w/ a new record coming out she would at least try to make an effort to look good on her AI performance rather than trying to act "too comfortable and low key" it just didn't work for her in my opinion- but she didn't consult w/ me before, so go figure!

Kanye- typical Kanye- puts on a show and rocks the styles of the 1980's. I was digging his sunglasses...Madonna's Desperately Seeking Susan look is BACK people! One question I have is ...how short is Kanye? I mean, the girls on the floor were almost eye level w/ him when he was on the judges table dancing. Which brings me to my next question...do they windex or 409 the top of that judge's table after every nasty pair of shoes have been on there? And what about all of the sweat dripping off these performers...where does it go? I'm scared- please tell me during commercial break that the interns or crew members do a quick wipe down before Randy, Simon and the girls head back to their seats...otherwise, Paula's cleavage is going to have some funk on it - b/c she is constantly leaning over that desk/table showing off the guy contestants her 3rd boob job!

Ok, I"ll stop rambling...I'll post any more AI news as I get it...

SPOILER ALERT: Next week's theme below.....

Update: Randy Travis will also be mentoring the kids, as well as performing.
I’m pulling this out of comments, it’s from the Grand Ole Opry mailing list.
Grand Ole Opry Week on American Idol
America’s top-rated television show is about to join forces for a week with the “Show That Made Country Music Famous”! American Idol will feature a Grand Ole Opry theme on March 17 & 18, as contestants will select and perform songs popularized by Opry members!
In addition, Carrie Underwood and Randy Travis will sing together on Randy’s classic hit and Carrie’s current single, “I Told You So,” plus Brad Paisley will make the television debut of his new single, “Then,” from his forthcoming summer album.

American Idol- round one Top 13

Ok, this will be brief...For those of you who watched A.I. last night- here are my thoughts and opinions...

Top 6 of my pics- that I think are pretty obvious

1) Lil Rounds - did great last night

2) Danny Gokey- my personal favorite

3) Adam Lambert- he's odd, but very talented and will go far

4) Alexis Grace- she's really good- maybe not her best performance last night, but she's good!

5) Kris Allen - cute and folky/country

6) Allison Iraheta- very good- especially for her age

My thoughts on the remaining 7 that I predict will not make it to the top 6

1) Anoop Desai- Goofy and not that great- he'll go home tonight - at least I think

2) Jorge Nunez- Good vocals, but not very entertaining

3) Scott McIntyre- Great talent- hard to watch- too "Barry Manilow for me"

4) Megan Joy- Cute as can be- not that great- reminds me of Nelly Furtado when she sings

5) Jasmine Murray- too cute- not enough talent to get a record deal

6) Matt Giraud- Trying to hard to be J.T. and not anywhere near- plus J.T. is HOT!

7) Michael Sarver- great voice, not sure he's superstar material?

There is so much more I could comment on- outfits, hair, judges comments...but I'm so busy today at work...All I can say is I think Paula wants to jump half of the guys and she needs to simmer down "Do-n-na S-u-mm-e-r" (backwards)

Simon likes Danny, Lil, Adam and Allison the best-he's so obvious!

I'm going for Danny- forget about his story -forget he's not the hottest thing- but he's entertaining and not in an uncomfortable way- Adam is too over the top for me, he may have done well last night for MJ night, but I will buy Danny's record and I love his voice- he has that Michael McDonald sounds mixed w/ Joe Cocker.

I would LOVE to hear him sing "Broken Wings" by Mr. Mr. and "Turn the Page" by Bob Segar!!!
Thanks for reading!

We'll see what happens tonight when the votes come in!
Oh yeah...2 people are leaving- I think Anoop is a goner and it's either Megan or Jorge who's 2nd! Wonder what the suprise rule change is going to be? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

DWTS

Who watched? I did! Melissa did great considering she only had 2 days!
I was disappointed in Denise Richards- she can do so much better and Holly Madison was a train wreck- but maybe she'll do better w/ more time!?!?!

I kept wondering who Gilles was?
Then it dawned on me- he's the naked guy from SATC movie! What a HOTTIE! He is a great dancer and you can tell Cheryl is happy to be his partner - she is lovin it!

I don't know who some of these "so called stars" are- I am beginning to think that the dancers themselves (the professionals) are more famous than half of the "celebrities" or "Has-been's"

I thought it was hilarious on Denise Richard's intro- how they just HAD to put a clip in from Wild Things of her getting out of the pool- seriously? Is that her only claim to fame? How sad! I guess it was "ground breaking" b/c she kissed a girl and that was so unheard of in the mid 90's whatever, she's over rated!

I am a BIG fan of Julianne Hough- she is too cute! I thought she wasn't coming back this season, so maybe they bribed her to bring her boyfriend - Chuck Wicks (another unknown star) so she would return for ratings. Either way- she's cute, he's cute and I really like her.

She and her brother Derek (also a dancer on the show) are from Utah and are Mormon, they are in a family of like 10 people who are also all dancers- interesting!

I'm not sure who will "get the boot" this first week- it's really too early to tell- I'm thinking the guy w/ the lowest scores last night- sadly enough, I can't remember his name or "who he is" but I do know his partner, Karina was making evil eyes at her fiance dancer, Max- maybe b/c Denise was all over him!?!?!?! So much drama, got to love ABC!

Thanks for reading!

Melissa is on DWTS!!!!!

Ok, just found out that Melissa Rycroft (the dumpee) from this season's Bachelor- is replacing Nancy O'dell on DWTS which starts Tonight on ABC! Last time I checked, Melissa was not a "star"...so I"m wondering what ABC considers a star? I know that this will be her 3rd Reality Show (she was previously on CMT's Dallas Cowboy's Cheerleader: Making the Team) but who cares, this is hilarious! I am already a fan of the show- and this season is sure to be dramatic... I just hope her parents will show up and support her this time! There are rumors already flying that Jewel is pulling out due to a knee injury as well and that Holly Madison from E's The Girl's Next Door may be replacing her (this is Hef's former girlfriend that left him for Chris Angel - Mindfreak) hhhmmm..."v-e-r-y Int-er-esting"

Lincee from the greenbeans blog may acutally blog DWTS this season- I sure hope so, it will be so entertaining! She was quoted saying that maybe Jason and Mol will show up in the audience and make out! LOL- too funny! I'm beginning to realize more and more that Melissa is a fame whore and just did her "part" on the Bachelor for ratings and to get to her next gig- or maybe ABC was scared she was pissed and would sue, so they booked her DWTS so she could "go places" whatever the case may be, I'm being sucked in , yet again to the pointless reality tv drama that ABC so gracefully produces and now, here I am blogging about it- but if you are into reality TV like me, hopefully you are enjoying this hoopla! I'll blog tomorrow on the show, the costumes, the judges reactions and of course on my other topic "American Idol"- finally down to the final 13! Competition is ON! Can't wait! Singing and Dancing- my favorites- probably b/c I can't do either one well at all!!!! Thanks for reading!

Bedroom

It's ironic, how the first 2 rooms that are actually decorated in my house are the bedrooms...guess it's b/c I already had a lot of the fabric...Abigail's room is getting there and so is mine, I am on the hunt for a chase lounge to recover in zebra print - but I haven't found the right one for the right price yet b/c the fabric and labor will also cost me $$$ - I also have an French antique dressing table that needs a mirror cut for the top and the stool needs to be recovered as well, but here are some pics of the work in progress- enjoy! :)

Spring is in the Air

I'm so glad that Spring is almost here, at least it feels like it outside with these 70 degree weather days! My front doors looked so blah...so I decided to make something up for them...
I found these boxwood bundles at Sheffield Antique Mall for $15 a piece- then I went to Hobby Lobby for the silks...and I had the ribbon- they are a bit bright, but our house faces Southwest, and we get sun all day...so in a few weeks, I'm sure it will fade a bit! :)

D-Bag Jason

Is this why Chris Harrison never said "this is the final rose?"

O.M.G. is what I have to say about this D-bag! Seriously- did he have to dump Melissa with 3rd wheel Chris Harrison on the couch? On TV? Really? I just don't get why he went through with proposing to her and then in 6 weeks time, dumping her- What the heck? Did he not learn anything from his experience on the Bachelorette? He and Molly deserve each other, I was never a Jason fan- he seemed like a weezle on the Bachelorette and he is seriously a cry baby...when he didn't get his way last season, he pouted and then this season every freaking girl was "A-mazing" the most "AAAA-MAAAZING" person he'd ever met and then he would cry when he had to let them go...really? Could he not expand his vocabulary?!?!?! Could he not refrain from crying for one second? I will admit, I was addicted to the show b/c of the drama (even if it was forced or fake) but the After the Final Rose pissed me off! He looked like a big fat dork on national television and how can he put his son through all this crap! I honestly think he has some major issues that he needs to work out before he gets down on his knee for a 4th time to either Molly or the next girl in his line... I'm not a Jason fan and could not care less what happens w/ him and Molly. I hope they go off to Seattle together and dork off together!
This entire process brings one question to mind...was this pre-planned? Did ABC plan this entire strategy out? This is the million dollar question...the only reason I'm even suspcious is b/c Melissa's parents refused to appear on the show- this makes me think that there is a possibility that they knew the outcome or that Melissa was a "plant" on the show to throw all the viewers off! ABC is never going to admit that this was a plot, b/c this is after all, reality Television and it's totally NOT scripted- right? HA! Well, I'm not sure what to believe or if I actually even care...it just seemed odd to me that he never met her parents, then he proposes to her, then dumps her on TV- like let's just air all our laundry in front of the public eye...did he plan to be w/ Molly the entire time? Who knows...Who cares, I just hate how it ended and can't wait to move on to the Bachelorette on May 18th!
www.ihategreenbeans.com is the BEST bachelor blog on the net! Lincee in HILARIOUS! I will just watch the show, so I can read her recaps and laugh my butt off the next day! Chech her out if you get a chance...thanks for reading!

Disney World 2009

We just got back from Orlando today- what is up w/ the snow??? I can't believe it snowed so much while we were gone! It was the BEST weather in Florida up until Sunday afternoon...

We went to Magic Kingdom on Thursday (pic above) and it was around 77 degrees...then on Saturday we did a marathon of Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios and it was 84 degrees and beautiful...that night it only got down to around 71 degrees...while it was a blizzard back home! We were spoiled!

We had such a great time! Bryan's grandmother has a winter home in Kissimmee- and every year she leaves Missouri to go down for Jan/ Feb...and has been for 29 years...Bryan's parents flew down to pick her up and drive her home, so we decided to fly down and fly home so we could visit...what a wonderful trip! Bryan's grandmother made us the best meals and we did some great shopping and ate at some great restaurants...I am still in denial about having to get back to reality and go back to work tomorrow. I'll type up a longer recap and post more pics tomorrow...I also have a few comments on last night's Bachelor and AFter the Final Rose, but until I watch this 2nd Final Rose show tonight, I am holding my tongue...got to run, will post more later, thanks for reading! :)

Abigail's Room

Just wanted to put some pics on here of Abbey's Room & bathroom...it is coming together- I'm not quite finished, but I think it's pretty cute :) I finally charged my camera battery so I could upload these pictures...enjoy :)

And- we're off to see the Wizard- oops...I mean Mickey Mouse

Thank Goodness tomorrow is February 25th!!!! I have been looking forward to this day for a long while! We are finally leaving to fly to Orlando! I'm so excited to see Abigail's face when we get to the Magic Kingdom- my only concern is how she will do on the plane. I didn't fly until I was like 19 years old- and I have obviously never flown w/ a child before, so this should be interesting! I just hope and pray she doesn't have to go to the potty while we are on the plane, she is in between being potty trained and in diapers (yes, I'm terrible, she's 3 and still is not potty trained, but that's another subject and a project for after our trip). I just didn't want to pressure her into before this trip, out of pure selfishness...I didn't want to have to be going to the bathroom all over Disney World and on the airplane every 30 minutes...I decided against the $120 portable DVD player for the plane. We have 2 SUV's with DVD players installed, so there is not really a reason to purchase a travel one just for this one trip- I could spend the $120 while in Orlando on something better...so we made a trip to Walgreens for Sticker Books, Coloring Books and books to occupy our little munchkin for the 2 hour flight. Thank God we don't have a layover- non stop and we'll be there at 11:40 am CST! :)

Anyway- we are in the midst of packing and will be flying out tomorrow at 8:40 am for a fun filled week- I 'll post pics when we get back! To everyone reading...have a great rest of the week and weekend...thanks for reading!

Kate Winslet- for the record- I am a fan :)

I'm a huge fan of Kate Winslet- I think she's grown into her own over the past decade and of course I'm totally jealous of her relationship with Leo- who isn't? But for her BIG night, I wished she would have worn her hair down and worn something less fashion forward and more "old hollywood" w/ some glamour. She just seemed a bit drab and a little too stuffy for the biggest night of fashion- but that's my opinion of course :)

Here are 3 pics of where I think she looks so great and would love to see more of this look on her! :)
(Since I'm a celebrity stylist and all) he he! :)

My Oscar Favorites!

So....................I'm sure everyone watched the Red Carpet, the Oscars or something on "E" about the fashion at the Oscars! I could care less who wins, especially when Hollywood gives out awards to the girls who strip the most or to the men who act the most gay- so I'm here to talk about the clothes!

These are my worse dressed pics

Beyonce- I mean I can't even comment, other than- no taste, tacky and why are you at the Academy Awards?
Kate- You look so much better when your hair is down and I just am not a fan of this dress
Amy- Red hair and the red dress- too much- and that necklace is lavendar and green and mauve it clashes

I also was NOT a fan of Reese Witherspoon's dress (which normally I am)...I can't find a picture

Now, on to my best dressed fav's!

Taraji- gorgeous! Love the necklace and the lines- just looks so glamorous!
Miley-this dress is so adorable, beautiful and just my ultimate favorite!
Natalie - you always look fabulous- this dress is beautiful and the color was so cute
Anne- not a fan of you personally, but your dress rocked!

This dress is great- but not on SJP...she's too old for it. The dress looks good on her body, but I think someone younger could have rocked it out much better. I'm on the fence w/ this one!

So- I will comment more on red carpet tomorrow
My favorite jewelry of the night goes to Angelina- I hate to make such a big fuss over her b/c
EVERYONE else does, but the emeralds were freaking awesome!
I will post some more pics later :)
thanks for reading!

Look A-likes

Has anyone ever noticed how much Brad Pitt resembles young Robert Redford and how much Matthew McConaughey resembles young Paul Newman- check out these pics, it's uncanny!

They need to re-make the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid w/ Brad and Matthew!

Check out thes pics below and tell me I'm not crazy or seeing double!?!?!

Brad vs. Robert:

What About Matthew and Paul?

Matthew

I'm not sure why I felt the need to put this on my blog...but it's funny how Hollywood repeats itself over time.

Look at Ryan Seacrest- talk about being in the right place at the right time!

He is the Dick Clark of the new millenium! Poor Dick Clark and his stroke- he went for years w/ out aging and over night, he just went from 50 years old to 100 years old...good Ole Ryan was there to take his place and Dick Clark's Rockin New Year's Eve is Ryan Seacrest's for the taking!
